A short description of what it was like for a 7 year old boy (me) on December 7, 1941, the day the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and when the war ended in August 1945 — this created a ‘new normal’. I have compared it with today’s pandemic and how the events we are experiencing now will create a ‘new normal’ when a vaccine becomes available to all. It was part of a presentation I made to the Santa Cruz Intra-Agency Advisory Committee.
